Introducing the PROCESS

Our digital development process begins with Discovery, where we understand your goals and audience. In the Plan phase, we create a detailed roadmap to guide the project. During Design, we craft visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. In the Develop phase, we bring these designs to life with robust, scalable code. We then Launch your digital solution, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Finally, Beyond, we provide ongoing support and optimization to keep your digital presence thriving.

Step 1: Discovery

The discovery phase should always be the first step to any web project. Before jumping into development, it is important to understand what you want your site to accomplish. Is it just informational…do you want it to generate leads…will it be a virtual sales environment? All of these questions must be answered before the development process begins. This phase will set the tone for how you will approach your SEO and marketing of your website.

Step 2: Plan

Once you’ve fleshed out some of your ideas in the discovery phase, it’s time to start putting them to work in some concrete plans for your site. It begins with developing a wire diagram of how the site will look and interact. Budget and scheduling decisions are made during this phase of the development process. Action items are identified and responsibilities assigned. The number one reason that websites are pushed late is because someone did not deliver on assigned tasks. It is for this reason that a project manager is assigned to ensure that everyone understands the assigned tasks and meet the deliverable timeline.

This phase will involve working on things like the site-view, which include naming conventions, site mapping and examining the current site structure is applicable. Page-views will be incorporated into the wire diagram, and content will be gather such as copy, images and videos. Navigation will also be addressed.

Step 3: Design

Phase three is where your site begins to take shape. Site mapping and style guides, colors and font selections take place. Connect is beginning to be developed and images or collected and catalogued. Clickable prototypes are created to ensure that everyone's on the same page.

Step 4: Develop

This is where the magic happens, and your ideas come to life. Not only is the front-end look (what you see) addressed here, but any back-end solutions (what you don’t see) are created as well. Unless you're building a static site, you'll need a database and some way to communicate with the database. You'll also likely need integrate a Content Management System like WordPress at this stage. The end of this step is always testing.

Step 5: Launch & Beyond

Now that your site has been created, it's time to launch! Launch also includes finding a point where you're moving from site development to site maintenance. A maintenance plan should be established. If you've built the site on something like WordPress then it's relatively simple to change content as needed if you have an internal IT person. If desired your site developer may be an option for maintenance.  It's good idea to have a post-launch meeting to discuss the project and any glitches that might come up during launch. There's no true "end" to any website. Technology on the web is changing daily, and you'll need to be prepared for that.
